As the former Director of High Performance at Northwest High Performance Tennis, Filipp played a pivotal role in shaping the training methodologies that have become a benchmark in the Pacific Northwest. At Tier 1 Performance, our journey to excellence began with a simple yet effective approach that quickly bore fruit, transforming us into a nationally recognized development program within just three years. Founded by Filipp Pogostkin, a native of the Pacific Northwest passionate about giving back to his community, we've developed multiple Easter Bowl champions, a Wimbledon champion, two-time Kalamazoo champions, and nationally ranked players across divisions.
Our philosophy centers on the power of collective effort—"It takes a village to create a champion"—which is why we've assembled the PNW's only coaching team united by a shared vision, bringing diverse experiences and skills to create a rich training environment.
